Are you passionate about news? Looking to innovate? Want to work with a talented, hard-working team? We have one immediate opening for the position of a part-time Production-Assistant (Contract 12-18 Months TBD)

                                                                

CHCH News is a multiplatform organization serving the dynamic and rapidly growing regions of Hamilton, Halton, and Niagara. We genuinely care about our community and about working in an environment that allows each of us to bring our best selves to work. 

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Working in concert with the producers and director-switchers, assist in all aspects of production of our newscasts
  • Monitor social media and news feeds
  • Post clips and other news to chch.com and other digital channels
  • Liaise with Master Control & Traffic
  • Other duties as required 

 

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Possess at least six months of news production experience
  • Be well organized
  • Demonstrate strong spelling and grammar skills
  • Be prepared to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Possess a broadcast diploma or equivalent
  • Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Have a working knowledge of ENPS and Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Be familiar with the current events of Hamilton, Halton and Niagara is a strong asset
