Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain, install and support a wide variety of broadcast hardware and software
  • Maintain, install and support a wide variety of ENG Cameras, Tripods, Audio Gear, and other ENG equipment
  • Strong knowledge of technical work flows to be able to navigate and troubleshoot issues
  • Communicate electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine, solve and document problems experienced
  • Emulate or reproduce technical problems encountered by users
  • Provide business systems, network and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
  • Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
  • Participate in the redesign of workflows, special projects, vehicles and other systems
  • Ensuring good communication with co-workers, supervisors and management
  • Answer and log transmitter calls and call in appropriate staff for emergencies

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • At least three years of experience in a support/technical position
  • A working knowledge of ENPS, Ross Xpressions would be an asset
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong ability to effectively troubleshoot in a live TV environment
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • A readiness to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Some on-call required
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
